This week is a monster of show – 5 interviews! Austin Leeds, Rob from Wertago.com, Damian from CR2 Records, Dharma111, and Carl from Rivmixx.com. As a result, there was no time for a guest dj.

For those of you new to the Syndicated Beats Radio show – welcome! This is what happens in preparation for the Winter Music Conference. Everyone needs to get as much promotion as possible, because everyone is competing for every dance music consumer’s attention. It’s good for me, because I’m trying to provide a service for the artist dj label, etc. Normally the show does not have that much talking. Later in the week, I will post my new monthly dj mix. No talking allowed.

Anyway, as you listen to the show, you might notice a couple of new things. First, I’m trying to have some more guests associated with dance music culture, not just making music. Two weeks ago, I interviewed the owner of Hed Kandi Lounge. This is week’s guests are equal as cool.

Wertago is a cool new social mobile app. I only discovered it two weeks ago. I just bought a new Google phone and was checking out the apps store – then I found ‘wertago’. I quickly realized that this would be a real easy way for letting you catch up with me during Winter Music Conference. Outside of Twitter, I couldn’t think of a better way of updating everyone in real time where I will be – and how many free passes I have to give away! Then it occurred to me – instead me promoting their product why don’t they come on the show. Hence Rob – a very cool guy. BTW – if you are interested in blogging about the ’scene’ in your local for wertago; let me know, they are looking for party people that can write. I think the app currently works in USA and UK only right now.

Then there’s Carl Loben. He was the managing editor DJ Magazine UK. I’ve interviewed him a number of times before – usually for the WMC info, and the DJ Top 100 voting. But now, he’s at Rivmixx.com It’s a new online magazine, quasi-social music network. Think MySpace Music, but lean. They already have some cool contests for some UK festival passes, so check them out.

I also interviewed Dharma111! He is one of the owners of “aWarehouse” and the host of the Remix Hotel evening events. I went to aWarehouse to check it out – a little recon mission… killer space! It’s the best of an art gallery, design space, music/club area, and recording space – plus, there’s a cool (huge) outside area as well. Dharma111 is cool people! I can’t wait to see their group Organic Arma perform live. It’s hard to believe that only a couple of years ago, they are performing at Beatport Hotel Pool Party. Good vibes!

Finally, there’s a ton of great new music. Damian from CR2 Records mentioned a huge list of new releases! It’s probably easier to go their website, than for me to list them all. It’s good to hear from Damian again. I’ll talk to him later in the summer. Plus he has his own personal tracks to share… And thank you to Dr. Kucho! for the new station ids. BTW – for you guys that can’t make it, don’t worry I’m picking up goodies for you. “Prize packs” for some future contests.

Follow me using Twitter and/or Wertago. I’d love to link up with you guys. BTW – I will announce the passes I have via Twitter and Wertago – in real time. My experience has shown me the hard way that being on the "guest list" doesn’t mean you get in, or that the person at the door actually has the list you’re on, or that the "list" is even valid when you get there. This is why I didn’t announce any passes on the radio shows. Two years ago a listener got burned showing up too late. Which meant I lost two slots that I could have given away to someone else. Last year, when broadcasting for Yahoo – the entire crew got locked out the club while we were broadcasting the Defected party. It’s great story… shout out to Paper Buddha! LOL!

Hed Kandi Lounge just opened here and in Miami. Their lineup for WMC later this month is killer! There are a numbers of nights I might go to, but their Friday event with Bullit Bookings is my favorite. Everyone on the agency will be there.

BIOGRAPHY: Alessandro Russo aka SLOK is an Italian musician, dj and label manager who started his career with productions as forerunner of the italian’s breakbeat, Jungle & drum n bass, with his albums ‘They Call it Jungle’ and ‘Freak 2000’ produced for Irma Records. Later he changes his style to electronic sounds and on 2006, the international club hit ‘Lonely Child’ released on the Satoshie Tomiie / Hector Romero’s imprint SAW Recordings boosted his musical career quickly. He already released on such estimeed electronic labels like PLASTIC FANTASTIC (as Stereonova), GET PHYSICAL, ACUTE, 4KENZO, TURBO, MY FAVORITE ROBOT, JUICY SPAIN, and of course on his own ELECTRONIC PETZ MUSIC label. He also runs Magma, a syndication radio show underground dance orientated aired on 47 FM italian Radio stations. He has turned the world as dj on France, Russia, Canada, Croatia, Portugal, South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Hungary and of course he’s well-know in his native Italy.

NEWS: Actually he’s working (Selecting / Mixing) on a new mixed CD album ‘Exploring Italy’ a piece of discography that will represent the actual italian electronic music scene in the world, the release date is planned for April 2009 on BAROQUE RECORDS, and also on KING KONG Records with a Sharam Jay Single remix work and on ELECKTRONIC SOUL’s Onionz label too. His productions received the support of many major players such Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, DJ T, M.A.N.D.Y, Tiga, Pete Tong, Robert Babicz, Paul Van Dyk and many more.
